Capt. Ret'd W "Turbo" Tarling - Pilot
Turbo Tarling, more than 28 years retired from the Canadian military, finds his home in Cold Lake, Alberta. An accomplished military pilot with 7670 hours on type, Turbo is also known for his impressive photo of a Canadian CF-101 Voodoo he shot from his own Voodoo in an afterburner take-off when only feet off the ground. We are very pleased to have someone with his knowledge and skill as a part of our growing flight crew.
Capt. Ret'd Larry Ricker - Pilot
Larry Ricker, who flew the T-33 as a reserve member of the Canadian military (756 hours on type) and who is currently an airline captain flying the 767-300 with Air Canada. Larry played a key role along side Turbo ferrying the JAM T-birds home to London in 2009. Larry's skill has been a great asset to JAM training. Larry currently resides in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Capt. Ret'd Joe Molnar - Pilot
Joe originally started his military flying career in the mid sixties and received his wings on T-33 aircraft at Gimili, Manitoba. Following wings graduation Joe went on to fly a variety of high perfomance jet aircraft during his military career including stints on the CF 104, CF 5 and later the CT114 as a Snowbird Demonstration Pilot. Following his military career Joe entered the world of commercial aviation and flew a variety of Jet Transport Aircraft including the DC8 , B747, B757 and B767. Joe recently retired from from Sky Service Airlines in March of 2010. Joe lives close by the museum in London, Ontario and is very involved in the training of new JAM Pilots and members.

GROUND SCHOOLS

The Jet Aircraft Museum will be holding training courses for the T- Bird and other aircraft for members and aviation enthusiasts. The first day of the course is crew training which is open to pilots and non-pilots. Successful attendance of the first day qualifies the attendees for backseat flights in the jet type. For the T-33 a second day of pilot training is available which consists of a self study element, closed and open book exams and cockpit familiarization
The cost of the groundschool course for backseat crew (T-33 or L39) is $150 and for T-33 pilots training is $300. All proceeds go to the Jet Aircraft Museum and include a copy of the airplane flight manual, tea coffee and sandwiches during lunch break. Members who complete this training will be able to book backseat flights in the T-Bird during museum fly days.
The anticipated cost of a 30 minute flight is approx. $1500
