Board of Directors

Bob Hewitt - President

With a logbook filled from Tiger Moths to Harvards to T-Birds, Bob could tell you many aviation related stories! Bob is also the founder of the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association. When he saw the opportunity to preserve 6 Canadian T-33s, with the goal of keeping them flying, he started what is now the Jet Aircraft Museum. email: rhewitt@jetaircraftmuseum.ca

Paul Thomas - Secretary

Though I’m not a pilot, I’m a self confessed aviation freak! I’ve been attending air shows since the 70’s, and still fondly remember my first show, and hearing that afterburner of the CF-101 kicking in! What a sound! I jumped at the chance to join JAM the moment I heard about them, and dream of hearing that afterburner once again. email: jampthomas@gmail.com

Rick Hammond - Director

Rick is the owner of his own two T-33s over the past 6 years, and keeps them at the Region of Waterloo International Airport…only a short distance from London. His experience with getting the T-Birds in flying condition will be a huge asset for the Jet Aircraft Museum. email: rhammond@jetaircraftmuseum.ca

George Rand - Facilites Director

I have been a member of the Woodstock Flying Club for 40 years. In 2008,I bought this Champ airplane and built an airstrip on my farm at Curries south of Woodstock. As a collector of antiques, I enjoy restoring old cars, tractors and am presently completing a 1947 Callair airplane. email: grand@jetaircraftmuseum.ca

Derek Hammond - Director of Maintenance & Fundraising

Derek has volunteered much of his time in the past year organizing the permits for ferrying our 6 T-33s home to London. Dave Hewitt - Director

He is a pilot and member of the Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team. He tells of his dad saying, when speaking of prop aircraft, “there is only one thing better than a Harvard and that is two Harvards” and in talking about jet aircraft, “there is only one thing better than a T-33 and that is two T-33’s”. email: dhewitt@jetaircraftmuseum.ca
